The things I forgot

collaboration with Lewis Nicholson
installation

text, glow-in-the-dark vinyl, lighting system; exhibited as part of a solo exhibition at Oakville Galleries, Oakville, Ontario, 2002

For six months I kept a diary of the things I forgot. Lewis and I chose one example from each day, had the text produced in glow-in-the-dark vinyl and adhered it to the wall. Lights in the room came on for one minute and went off for four minutes. The viewer could read the text in the dark but it would quickly start to fade, making it difficult to read and leaving the viewer in the dark.
